Selvi akka has been selling vegetables in a cart on B. V. Raman Road, Triplicane.

But this summer, she has been selling only mangoes.


Why?

She says she can earn more money by selling mangoes.

Kumbhabhishekam of Kottur temple in January 2024.

  The kumbhabhishekam of Kottur Prasana Venkatesh Perumal Temple is going to be held on January 2024. It will be on for three days. The temple staff say that this temple is over 1000 years old. They said that this place called Kottur was once called as Kottu idai konda ooru. During the repair work in the temple, people can come and worship the god in balalayam.   The chief executive of the temple is Narayani.
