Old Temple in Ice House being prepared for consecration event

 



The Thulukanatha Amman Temple on Dr Natesan Road, Ice House, Sudandira Nagar, Triplicane, is said to be over 700 years old.

The temple staff said that, long ago, this temple was maintained by the local Muslim people and that is how it got its name.


After that, it has been maintained by the forefathers of Anandh poojari; from the past four generations. 


Repair work on the temple is going on. This is for the consecration ceremony that is expected to be held within the next 6 months.

  The kumbhabhishekam of Kottur Prasana Venkatesh Perumal Temple is going to be held on January 2024. It will be on for three days. The temple staff say that this temple is over 1000 years old. They said that this place called Kottur was once called as Kottu idai konda ooru. During the repair work in the temple, people can come and worship the god in balalayam.   The chief executive of the temple is Narayani. Gym in Thiruvottiyur draws many people

  Fighter Fitness Gymnasium located at Raja Shanmugan Nagar in Thiruvottiyur has a regular number of clients. The gym is managed by J. Anto, Victor Amalraj and S. Ganesh. Since they are also from this area they draw many clients. This gym was started in 2016.   The special advisor for the gym is Master Bala, who was a body-building champion eleven times won the Mister Tamilnadu title many times.  This gym has equipment like dumb-bells, double barrel, arms pressing equipment, butterfly equipment.
