Heavy rain in Kilpauk zone on Tuesday evening

 



There was heavy rain in Kilpauk area of Chennai on Tuesday evening. There was rolls of thunder too.

Motorists left their bikes on roadside and rushed to take shelter at bus stands and inside shops. 


The roadside petty shops on the platform had to close. 


Rainwater stagnation was seen in Thambuswamy Road. 


There were some traffic jams, especially on Purasaiwakkam High Road as the rain slowed down motoring.

This is a temporary stay space - people can stay here for six months only.    Accommodation is only for 50 members.   If you see homeless people living on the road, inform the toll-free number 1913. Short spell of rain in Teynampet

  It rained in Teynampet on Tuesday evening for 45 minutes. The food stall staff at Balaji Hotel in Elango Street had to shift their things inside the hotel as the rain came hard. Men working in the open at Jayalakshmi Turning Works here had to stop working. In Pillaiyar Kovil Street, there are many potholes and so water stagnates.   - By Sangeetha K.
