Short spell of rain in Kottur





It rained in Kottur on Monday evening, from about 4:40 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There were clear skies through the day but in the evening, dark clouds gathered.  

There was some rolls of thunder.


Water stagnated in some streets in Kottur but only for some time.

This centre in Kannagi Nagar offers 'skills' courses for women. Free.

  Muthal Thalaimurai Learning Center is in Kannagi Nagar, Okkiyam Thuraipakkam.   It was opened by V. Iraianbu, chief secretary of Tamil Nadu.   It has been opened for the sake of women's empowerment.  Here, driving classes, beauty-care training and sari embroidery classes are held. There are no fees.   Students are from the age of 18 to 37 years can sign up.   The classes are held in the morning shift and in the evening shift. 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 1.30 to 5.30 p.m. - Monday to Saturday.  Physically disabled students can also register here.   - By Sneha E.
