Two suburban trains on same track; services delayed

 


The busy suburban railway services in North Chennai witnessed a big delay on June 2 morning when two trains were seen on the same track.


This happened at about 7:40am. For more than 40minutes, the train on the Gummudipoondi to Chengalpattu line was detained on the track because another train had stopped far ahead on same track.


Passengers said that some technical problems caused this stoppage. Since there were many office-goers packed at peak hour time in the trains, they got angry and frustrated by this long delay.

Kumbhabhishekam of Kottur temple in January 2024.

  The kumbhabhishekam of Kottur Prasana Venkatesh Perumal Temple is going to be held on January 2024. It will be on for three days. The temple staff say that this temple is over 1000 years old. They said that this place called Kottur was once called as Kottu idai konda ooru. During the repair work in the temple, people can come and worship the god in balalayam.   The chief executive of the temple is Narayani.
